Windsor Fire Battles String of Fires

Sparks from a malfunctioning train engine are likely the cause of a string of fires along the CP Rail line near Crawford Ave. this afternoon.

Around 3:30pm Windsor fire dispatched several engines to the scene to put out the fires that ran from Campbell and College to Tecumseh and Crawford.

Windsor Fire Captain Sean Wilson says a few of the fires traveled to adjoining yards. Property damage is still being estimated.

No injuries were reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
