Woman Injured In Rollover Crash

A woman has been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Amherstburg.

The Amherstburg Police Service says on Friday around 2pm, the driver lost control of the vehicle on County Rd. 50 between County Rd. 20 and Collison Side Rd., resulting in it rolling and coming to a rest on its roof.

The female driver was seriously injured in the crash and was rushed to hospital.

County Rd. 50 between County Rd. 20 and Collison Side Rd. was closed for several hours while emergency crews were at the scene. The road has since been reopened.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Amherstburg police.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
