Two Stabbed During Fight On Marentette Ave.

Two men had to be taken to hospital after an altercation ended with both suffering stab wounds.

The Windsor Police Service says on Saturday around 8:23pm, officers who were already in the area of Marentette Ave. at University Ave. E, were alerted to a fight that was occurring nearby. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the two men who had both been stabbed.

The men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One of them was later discharged, but the other remains in hospital with more serious injuries.

The man who is still in hospital is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
