Local Man Wins Big On Keno

A Windsor man is $50,000 richer after winning on a Daily Keno draw.

John McLeod says it came on Father's day to boot.

"I checked my numbers online that Sunday morning and all the numbers started looking familiar. I asked my wife, who was sitting beside me, to pinch me to make sure I wasn't dreaming," he explains.

McLeod says he'd been playing the same number selection for six years and this is the biggest prize he's ever won.

He says, "I will be buying my wife a new car and some of it will go to pay off our mortgage. Now that we have this extra money we might take a family trip to Florida in December for Christmas."

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac's on Lauzon Rd. in Windsor.
