Hospital Recommencing Surgeries

Two of three sterilizing machines at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus are back in working order.

Repairs were made to the steam system this morning with the replacement of the failed valve. The third machine is still down due to unrelated problems.

Surgeries are starting to recommence in a "safe and planned out manner" according to a news release sent out by the hospital.

Due to the operating room closure, 76 surgical cases had a be postponed . The hospital is working with surgeons and patients to reschedule the cases as soon as possible .

The hospital plans to be running at normal operations by Monday June 27.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
