Charges Coming After Break And Enter

A 33-year-old man from Windsor is facing charges after police were called to a business on Walker Rd. yesterday.

Police report being called to the business in the 3200-block of Walker Rd. at about 6:45am on Tuesday. Once officers arrived they saw a man holding down a suspect.

Officers allege the suspect had hit the man and an employee of the business with a piece of wood.

Police say the suspect allegedly smashed the front windows of the building with the lumber to gain entry to the business before an altercation ensued with the people inside.

The suspect was sent to hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Charges against the suspect include break and enter as well as assault.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
