UPDATE: West End Fire Investigation Underway

Damage is pegged at about $180,000 at a home at 2289 College Ave. in Windsor and six people are displaced after a fire Wednesday afternoon.

The neighbouring home suffered roughly $20,000 damage.

Investigators have combed through the scene of the apartment fire and determined the cause was unattended cooking.

Firefighters arrived on scene around 1pm on Wednesday and were able to get the flames under control withing minutes.

No injuries are reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
