Victim In Fatal Crash Identified

Charges are pending after a crash on Malden Rd. killed a 57-year-old Windsor man.

James Clark was pronounced deceased on the scene after the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a transport truck.

The accident happened around 2:00pm Monday on Malden Rd. between Essex County Road 8 and South Talbot Rd. in Tecumseh.

Clark is the 26th person in Ontario to die in a motorcycle accident this year. The OPP are urging all drivers to be aware of their surroundings and always check for motorcycles before changing lanes, turning or entering into intersections.

“Get in the habit of looking for motorcycles when you are driving. Quite often we look for other cars and trucks and get surprised by motorcycles. We need to change our way of thinking and look for motorcycles first. If we specifically look for motorcycles, we will also see the other larger vehicles as well," saysTraffic and Marine Inspector Lisa Anderson.
