Windsor Man Wanted For Robberies In GTA

Police in Peel Region have issued an arrest warrant for a Windsor man following a series of home invasion style robberies in the Greater Toronto Area.

Peel Regional Police say 25-year-old Rashid Ahmad of Windsor is wanted in connection with the robberies that occurred between October 2014 and December 23, 2015.

Police have they have already arrested and charged 32-year-old Niranjan Kalaichlvam and 20-year-old Shakyle Henry, both from Brampton, in connection with the crimes.

Ahmad is described as a south Asian male, 5’9” tall, 157 lbs,  with black hair and brown eyes. He also has a scar over his left eyebrow.

In some cases, police say the accused allegedly used hand guns, duct tape, zip ties and a taser to assault the victims, which included the elderly and children. Police referred to the crimes as "vicious and cowardly."

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
