Hospice Patients Pampered by Students

Hospice patients were treated to a bit of pampering by the cosmetology students at St. Clair College.

Students used their new skills to wash, cut, style and dye the hair of 12 patients Tuesday morning.

"When you're a patient there's a lot of sad things that go on but today I feel awesome," said Peach Wilkinson. "I haven't felt this good in a long time."

This is the third year St. Clair College has partnered with Hospice Windsor-Essex to give patients a day at the salon.

"Just to make them feel great again, that's really what makes us do it over again these last couple of years," says Instructor Fran Bonadonna. "Just the reaction from them. It makes us happy because it makes them happy."
