Seventh Explore The Shore Festival

The seventh annual Explore the Shore festival kicks off on Saturday.

The two-day event highlights all there is to do along County Rd. 50 from exploring beaches and conservation areas, to local wineries and restaurants.

The festival has also planted exclusive limited time geocaches for families to find along the route. A geocache is a small or large object placed at specific GPS coordinates that usually has a small prize inside for those who discover it.

Over 30 businesses are participating in the event this year with specials and activities. Organizers encourage people to visit more than five spots for a chance to win a grand prize.
