Assault Suspect Arrested In East Windsor

A man accused of assaulting a woman and pulling her across a bar patio by her hair has been arrested by Windsor police.

The incident happened July 3 at around 10:45pm at Lions Head on Wyandotte St. E.

The 23-year-old female victim told police she got into an argument with an unknown male. The situation escalated outside and police say punches were exchanged.

Investigators say after the initial confrontation the man continued assaulting her, dragging her across the patio. The woman suffered bruising to her face and cuts to her legs.

The suspect was identified and patrol officers located him in the 6500-block of Wyandotte St. E on Monday morning. He was arrested without incident.

A 53-year-old Windsor man has been charged with assault.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
