UPDATE: Assault In West Windsor Hospitalizes Two

Police in Windsor are investigating a vicious assault on Campbell Ave. near Wyandotte St. W that put two people in the hospital.

Police arrived on the scene around 9:15pm Monday.

Officers say a 23-year-old man and his friend came across a 36-year-old man and a woman they knew in an alley. An argument started, and police allege the 36-year-old hit the 23-year-old with a brick. That's when police say the first victim allegedly stabbed the other in the stomach.

Both men were taken to hospital. The injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 23-year-old man is in police custody and faces a charge of aggravated assault. Police say they later spoke with the 36-year-old man, as well as another 47-year-old about the incident. They say they received contradictory explanations, and now the 47-year-old is charged with obstructing justice.

More charges against the other two parties involved are pending.
