Worker Injured In Accident At Ford Plant

The Ministry of Labour will investigate after a 47-year-old man was injured on the job at Windsor’s Ford Engine Plant.

The Windsor Police Service says officers were called to plant at 1000 Henry Ford Centre Dr. around 3:30pm on Wednesday.

Police officials say a piece of metal fell from a height and struck the back of the worker’s head, knocking him unconscious. The worker also suffered a 1in gash to his head.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been treated and released.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
