Armed Robbery In Downtown Windsor

Police in Windsor have released the description of a suspect after an armed robbery over the weekend.

Investigators say a man and a woman were walking along Goyeau St. near Elliott St. E around 5:30am Saturday when a man approached them from behind. The suspect threw the man to the ground and held a knife to him. He demanded cash, but when the man said he didn't have any, so he took the woman's purse instead.

He then fled north on Goyeau St.

Police are looking for a black man with a light complexion. He was in his early 20s, about 5'8" with a skinny build. At the time, he was wearing a blue hoodie.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
