Firebreathers, Magicians And More Hit Walkerville

Windsor's Walkerville BIA is being turned into a three-ring circus for the weekend, as Buskerfest takes over Wyandotte St., between Devonshire Rd. and Lincoln Rd.

Executive Director Mark Lefebvre says you'll see everything from magicians to acrobats to musicians and more.

"We've got a guy called Pyromancer, who's coming from Europe," he explains. "He's a world record holder in fire breathing. He's going to blow people away, literally, with the size of these fireballs he'll be shooting out of his mouth."

Lefebvre says there will be staggered shows throughout the weekend at the corners of Kildare Rd., Chilver Rd. and Windermere Rd.

Walkerville restaurants will also be setting up extended patios along Wyandotte St. starting Friday night.

It's been more than 10 years since Windsor featured a busker festival.
