Open House At Windsor's Assumption Church

Windsor's Assumption Church is holding an open house Sunday and Monday.

A release from the church says the community is welcome to visit.

The Assumption Parish is the oldest Roman Catholic parish in Canada west of Montreal. The church opened in 1870 but closed in November 2014 when the cost of much-needed repairs outweighed the means to pay for them.

Right now parishioners are worshipping at Rosary Chapel through the week and the McEwan Campus of the Holy Name of March Church on weekends.

The open house on Sunday is from 2pm to 5pm, and on Monday from 12pm to 6pm.
