Storytime With Striking Library Workers

Around 30 kids and their parents gathered in Optimist Park in Tecumseh to listen to storytime by a striking library worker.

CUPE Local 2974 workers have been on strike for 61 days now.

"I know I am very anxious to go back," says librarian Catherine Gravelle. "After today I just realize how much I love it and I'm ready to go back."

There are no new negotiations scheduled between the union and the County of Essex.

The main sticking point in negotiations has been proposed changes to the sick time policy.
