UPDATE: Power Restored In East Windsor

EnWin Utilities reports power is back to most of the over 16,000 customers affected by an outage in much of east Windsor.

The power outage was first reported around 4:18pm on Friday.

A further 7,000 customers of Essex Power in Tecumseh were affected by the outage.

Traffic signals had been reported to have gone dark, creating traffic back-ups during rush hour as signalized intersections became four-way stops. Many traffics signals still aren't working which has authorities urging drivers to use caution and to treat these intersections as a four-way stop.

The cause of the outage has yet to be released by EnWin.

Less than 10 customers remain affected by the outage in the stretch along the EC Row Expwy. between Walker Rd. and Jefferson Blvd.

Calls to EnWin have gone unreturned.
