Windsor To Discuss Early Warning System

In the wake of Wednesday's tornado Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens says it's a good time to consider an early warning system in the city.

Although, the system may not have worked in Wednesday's storm.  Environment Canada says the tornado developed with little to no warning.

"It's right for us to have the conversation and figure out if there is a system that we can employ that would allow us to give advanced warning and maybe not just for weather events but for other events that are happening in the city that residents need to know about," says Dilkens.

Fire Chief Bruce Montone has already been developing a proposal he intends to present during 2017 budget deliberations.
