Ronald McDonald House Nearly Finished Capital Campaign

In Honour Of The Ones We Love is helping Windsor's Ronald McDonald House meet its capital campaign goal, with a donation of $185,000.

Director of Development for Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario Jenne Wason says they've now raised more than $1.5-million for its $1.6-million campaign.

"There's donor plaques outside the bedrooms that say who has sponsored that bedroom, which now includes many of the people from In Honour Of The Ones We Love," explains Wason.  "[The families] love seeing that.  They love knowing they're supported by their community."

The Ronald McDonald House, located on the third floor of Windsor Regional Hospital's Met Campus, opened on May 9.

It's already served 33 local families since then.
