New WEEDC CEO Starts Monday

The new Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation CEO is officially on the job Monday.

Stephen MacKenzie was hired at the beginning of the month to take over the role left vacant by Sandra Pupatello.

"I'm really impressed with the region, the strengths, the asset base, the diversity of the target industry sectors or clusters that I think have growth potential," says MacKenzie.

Rakesh Naidu, who held the role of interim CEO, will stay with the corporation as chief operating officer.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
