Speed Leads To Fatal West Windsor Crash

A 35-year-old man is dead after crashing a mini-van into a building on Sandwich St. in Windsor.

Police say the vehicle was heading north on Prince Ave. around 11pm Sunday, and was approaching Sandwich St. very quickly.

It then crossed over Sandwich St. and hit a large stone before smashing into a building on the north side of the street.

When officers arrived, the van was fully engulfed in flames.

Various attempts were made to get the driver out of the vehicle, but police say they were unable to manipulate the seat and get him out.

An investigation is still underway.
