Downtown Fight Sends Man To Hospital

Two Windsor men in their 20s are being charged with aggravated assault after a man was hit in the head with a skateboard in the city's downtown.

Police report the victim — a 27-year-old man — was arguing with two people before the argument escalated into a physical fight on Saturday around 11:30pm near the intersection of Ouellette Ave. and University Ave. in Windsor. At some point the victim was hit in the head with a skateboard.

Officers were able to place two suspects under arrest.

The victim was sent to a Detroit hospital with a serious head injury. The victim is still in hospital in stable condition.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
