Driver Recovering After Single Vehicle Crash

An 82-year-old woman is recovering from minor injuries after driving her car into a tree on the south side of Hwy. 3.

Police say the car was travelling west near Manning Rd. Thursday morning, when it crossed the median and two lanes of eastbound traffic before entering the wooded area.

The driver was pinned in the vehicle, but Essex County OPP and Tecumseh Fire Service were able to successfully extricate the woman.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
