UPDATE: Downtown Windsor Apartment Fires

Windsor fire officials are investigating a blaze in the basement of an apartment building at 1666 Ouellette Ave.

Crews responded to the fire just before 1pm, Wednesday.

It was out within a half hour.

There's been no cause or damage estimate given yet.

No one was injured.

Meanwhile, one person is injured after a fire at an apartment on Riverside Dr. E. at Goyeau St.

There's no word on the severity of the injuries, or what caused the fire at this time.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
