New Gateway To UWindsor Campus

As part of its campus master plan the University of Windsor has unveiled its new "gateway" on Patrcia St.

The gateway closes Patrcia St. to all traffic except emergency vehicles to give students and pedestrians a safer way through the university.

President Alan Wildeman says it will also tell people they have arrived at the university.

"We wanted to have a very bold, signature presence for the university. When people come off Huron Church, they come down Patricia , we want them to see that this is the University of Windsor," says Wildeman.

The gate is made of steel by Cunningham Steel and features the University of Windsor logo. It's located next the the University of Windsor Stephen and Vicki Adams Welcome Centre on Wyandotte St.
