Officer Convicted Of Impaired Driving Returns To Duty

A LaSalle police officer who was convicted of impaired driving in June has returned to duty.

Sergeant Michael Foreman was sentenced to a one-year driving suspension and given a fine of $1,050 following the conviction.

Foreman pled guilty to one count of discreditable conduct at a Police Services Act hearing heard by retired OPP Superintendent Morris Elbers.

He has been placed on administrative restrictions while serving his sentence.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
