Two Arrested In Kingsville Chase

Two people are in police custody, and a stolen car's been recovered after a hit and run in Kingsville.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a crash on Road 3 W. at McCain Side Rd. around 1:20pm, Sunday.

Witnesses told police a grey Pontiac had struck an orange Honda and then fled the scene.

Shortly after, officers spotted the grey car and saw two people running through a bean field on Road 2 W.

The two suspects were eventually arrested at the Kingsville Golf and Country Club.

Police then received information that the Pontiac had recently been stolen from Amherstburg, and that it was linked to several recent thefts from vehicles and a break and enter in that town.

A 27-year-old Amherstburg man and 36-year-old Windsor woman are facing charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
