Vehicle Crashes Into Fire Hydrant

One person has been taken to hospital after a vehicle collided with a fire hydrant on Erie St. in Leamington.

The Leamington Fire Service reported the collision on Wednesday 9:30pm, and says emergency crews were able to isolate the water valve for the hydrant. However, police reported before hand that a large amount of water had flooded the road.

One woman was transported to hospital for evaluation.

Erie St. was blocked off at Pulford Ave. to Seacliff Dr., and has since reopened.
