Amherstburg Crash Injures One

One person has been injured following a single-vehicle crash in Amherstburg.

The Amherstburg Fire Department reported the crash on Friday around 10:30pm, at County Rd. 9 and County Rd. 20.

Police say a pickup truck left the road and came to a rest in a ditch. The driver, a 70-year-old Amherstburg man, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS.

An investigation is ongoing but charges have not been laid at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
