UPDATE: Crash Flips Van Onto Its Side

One person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash that caused a van to flip onto its side.

Amherstburg police say on Tuesday just before 6pm, the van and a car were involved in a head-on crash on Front Rd. north of Texas Rd.

The driver of the car had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the van was not injured.

Police say an investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Front Rd. N was closed for almost two hours while the vehicles were cleared from the scene. The road has since been reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
