Man Crashes Stolen Vehicle

A Windsor man is facing multiple charges following a crash involving a stolen vehicle.

Windsor police say on Tuesday around 6pm, a man was assaulted in a parking lot on Ouellette Ave. by another man who took the keys to the victim's vehicle and drove off.

Around an hour later, police were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Banwell Rd. and the EC Row Expy. They observed the stolen vehicle in the ditch and the driver was being tended to by paramedics.

The 50-year-old male was subsequently placed under arrest and faces charges of robbery and possession of stolen property.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
