UPDATE: Police Investigating Death On Curry Ave.

Windsor police confirm they are investigating a "major incident" after a woman was found dead with obvious signs of trauma in a house on the corner of Curry Ave. and Laing St.

On Wednesday around 1am, police attended Caesars Windsor Casino to arrest a 47-year-old man who had been taken into custody on outstanding warrants. Officers later learned that the man may have been involved in the incident at the house on Curry Ave.

Police found the woman dead with obvious signs of trauma to her body. Detectives believe the incident took place Tuesday afternoon.

The 47-year-old man remains in police custody.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or heard a disturbance in the area to contact them.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
