Officers arrived on scene at about 1:10pm along with other emergency responders.
According to police, the man suffered "severe trauma" and was sent to Windsor Regional Hospital's Ouellette Campus.
Police aren't viewing the case as suspicious and have passed over the investigation to the Ministry of Labour.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
