Small Step Forward For Hwy. 3 Improvement Project

The widening of Hwy. 3 is one small step closer.

Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca announced on Wednesday at a Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce luncheon that the government will be posting amendments to the original Environmental Assessment of the project for public comment.

Del Duca says this is an important step to securing funding for the project.

The report will be posted by the ministry on Thursday and will outline all the amendments to the original project. The public will have 30 days to comment before the Ministry of Environment approves the project.

Del Duca says he expects to return to the region in the "coming months" to make the funding announcement the area has been waiting for.
