Students Raising Money For Hiatus House

Purple scarves are being sold at the University of Windsor this month, raising awareness and funds for victims of domestic violence.

The 'Shine the Light on Women Abuse' campaign started in 2010.

The scarves can be found at CAW Student Centre Commons between 10am and 2pm, November 17, 23 and 27. Each one costs $15, with proceeds going to the Hiatus House.

You can also buy a scarf from the UWindsor Womyn's Centre office between 10am and 6pm, Mondays through Thursdays, and 10am to 3pm on Fridays.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
