DWBIA Preparing To Take City To Court

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association's filing a complaint to Ontario's Ombudsmen over procedures the City of Windsor used in its Pelissier St. parking garage decision.

A lawyer representing the DWBIA in this matter says city council did not adhere to proper reconsideration protocol when reversing its decision from June.

He says the city's procedure to get the issue discussed in camera last week was also wrong.

The DWBIA will also be taking the city to court in order to get council to reverse last week's motion and go through proper procedures, publicly.

DWBIA Chair Larry Horowitz is expected to address the media at 2pm, Thursday.
