No Library Branch At Devonshire Mall

The Windsor Public Library will not have a location in Devonshire Mall.

The board was looking to locate there to serve the residents of south Windsor.

But library CEO Kitty Pope says it's become clear the managers at Devonshire Mall are not interested in working with the library.

"After two years of trying to get a location at the mall it's become really clear that that's not in the plans for Devonshire Mall at this point and so the board wanted to move on," says Pope.

She says the board will continue to evaluate different options for a location in South Windsor to serve the community.

"They'll continue to use the book mobile to test locations to see where that preferred community actually is," says Pope.
