Man Charged With Animal Cruelty

Windsor police have charged a Windsor man after he allegedly filmed himself abusing a dog.

Police allege the 26-year-old Windsor man filmed himself abusing the dog and then sent the video to a family member.

The family member reported the incident to police. After they reviewed the video police contacted the man. He came to the Windsor police headquarters and was placed under arrest.

He is charged with causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
