New Record High Set In Windsor

The day time high record in Windsor has been "left in tatters" according to Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson.

The new record temperature for November 18 in Windsor is 21.5 C (70.7 F), replacing the previous record of 18.9 C (66.02) set in 1971.

The record high temperature is set to be followed by a "nose dive on the weekend" according to Coulson. He says double digit temperatures are likely gone for some time from the region.

Coulson adds the new record is fairly impressive as usually it only takes a fraction of a degree to unseat the high mark.

The forecast from Environment Canada calls for temperatures to drop to a high of 5 C (41 F) on Saturday while Sunday could see flurries and a high of 4 C (39 F). It could get as cold as -2 C on Sunday night (28 F).
