Search For Thieves Continues After Goods Recovered

A stolen UHaul with stolen e-bikes inside of it has been recovered by Windsor police after a break-in.

Officers were called to a business on Tecumseh Rd. E near Central Ave. around 5am Friday, and found a front window smashed open.

A UHaul truck had been spotted leaving the scene, and police say the suspected vehicle was then involved in a hit and run around 5:30am on Hanna St. E at Howard Ave.

The truck was then found abandoned on Marentette Ave. near Hanna St.

The three e-bikes found in the back of the truck had been taken from the business on Tecumseh Rd., and investigators have since learned that the UHaul itself had been stolen Thursday night.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call the Windsor Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
