Project Safe Trade

The Lakeshore OPP detachment has implemented their newest crime fighting tool: Project Safe Trade.

The OPP hopes to create a safer environment for people to meet and make transactions that have been arranged online, whether it be a sale, purchase, or exchange.

Designated areas in the public parking lots of the Lakeshore and Tecumseh OPP detachments are marked as Project Safe Trade zones.

Project Safe Trade was introduced at the Lakeshore OPP detachment on November 21. Tecumseh OPP has been promoting Project Safe Trade since April 2016 and urge everyone to utilize the community safety zone to help minimize fraud and theft in the community.
