Firearm Allegedly Discharged In Confrontation

A 35-year-old Windsor man faces charges after a confrontation between two men in LaSalle ended when one allegedly fired a firearm.

Police in LaSalle say officers arrived at a home in the 4000-block of Montgomery Dr. just after 10pm Saturday.

The suspect had left by the time police got there, but was later found at a home in the 900-block of Hacienda Crt in Windsor. Officers from the Windsor Police Service Tactical Unit arrested him and turned him over to police in LaSalle.

They also seized a number of firearms.

The suspect remains in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
