Officials Investigate Two Weekend Fires

Fire officials in Windsor are investigating a couple of fires over the weekend.

An investigator from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal is at the scene of Sunday's fire at the New Haven Rest Home at 942 Howard Ave.

Flames erupted in a second floor unit and one person suffered minor injuries.

At a home at 8241 Menard St., one person suffered minor smoke inhalation early Sunday morning when a fire broke out on a basement futon.

That fire caused $125,000 in damages.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
