Stanley was drafted 18th overall this summer in the NHL entry draft after the Jets traded up to get him.

The Spitfires marked the occasion with a tweet from the club's official account:

In 143 regular season games in the OHL — all with the Spitfires — Stanley has recorded seven goals, 23 assists, a plus/minus of -21 and 201 penalty minutes in addition to 153 shots.
