Chrysler Pacifica Named Best New Large Utility Vehicle

The Windsor-built 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been named the "best new large utility vehicle" by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada.

A group of Canada's best-known automotive journalists cast their votes for the Pacifica back in October, during a four-day test-drive evaluation of brand-new or significantly changed models.

The Chrysler Pacifica scored the highest in interior styling, occupant environment and ride dynamics for a total of 664 points in its category. The vehicle beat out the GMC Acadia, which scored 634, and Mazda CX-9, which scored 663 points.

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada also named a number of other vehicles in eight categories, including best new large car, best new sports/performance car and best new small utility.

The vehicles named, including the Pacifica, will now compete for the title of Canadian Car of the Year and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Years. Those winners will be announced at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto in February.
