Victim May Have Fallen From Overpass

The Ontario Provincial Police believe a 44-year-old Windsor man killed in a hit and run on Hwy. 401, may have fallen from an overpass.

Police think the unnamed man fell from the Lambton St. overpass onto the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 around 10:40pm Tuesday. A passing motorist hit the man.

While investigators don't suspect foul play in the man's fall, they are still looking to speak to the driver of a light-brown van or SUV that was spotted in the area at the time of the accident.

Anyone with information can call the Essex County OPP detachment at 519-723-2491, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

The incident closed the eastbound lanes of the highway for several hours early Wednesday morning.
