Apartment Fire Causes $55K Worth Of Damages

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services has concluded their investigation into an apartment fire on 291 Lauzon Rd.

The blaze broke out early Sunday morning in a unit located on the fifth floor.

Chief Fire Prevention Officer John Lee says the fire had caused about $55,000 worth of damages, adding there is smoke damage to the fifth floor hallway.

No injuries have been reported, but Lee says one person has been displaced.

The cause of fire has been linked to unattended cooking.
