"Everything is pretty much done, just looking at a little of the detail work now but for all intents and purposes the project is complete and it looks fantastic," says Ward One Councillor Fred Francis.

Francis says the completion was much anticipated in the community.

"The Oakwood Community Centre is the largest and busiest community centre in the city with a number of programs and a number of participants that they provide programming for," says Francis.

Community programming for the Oakwood Community Centre will start at the new location the week of January 6, 2017. For a full schedule and program offerings visit the City of Windsor recreation page.
